It’s always nice to quantify the impact a particular Club effort has on the community. Thus it is with the recently completed WCMH-TV4 “Shred-It” Day held on Saturday, May 13.
During the six-hour collection period, more than 3,000 vehicles passed through the lines, to handoff nearly 250,000 pounds of personal documents to shred and recycle. Attendees also donated more than $10,000 to Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Since the first NBC4 Shred-it Day, more than 2,545 tons of paper have been shredded and recycled and more than $133,000 has been raised for Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Thanks to Scott Doellinger for his tireless efforts in organizing our Club volunteers and helping to organize our efforts.
